In his new book, Time To Get Tough: Making America No. 1 Again, Donald Trump is justifying and taking partial credit for the success that Lady Gaga is experiencing!

According to Trump's story, Lady Gaga might have never become the star that she is today if she wasn't invited to perform during the Miss Universe pageant in 2008.  According to published reports from the book, Donald writes,

Maybe she became a star because I put her on the Miss Universe Pageant.  It’s very possible, who knows what would have happened without it, because she caused a sensation. … I really believe I had at least something to do with it." (ABC Radio News)

Now there could be some validity to his statement, here's why...the Miss Universe pageant was held in July of 2008 where Lady Gaga performed her song "Just Dance".  The song had been getting played in clubs but not mainstream just yet.  It first appeared on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in August and then 22 weeks later it hit #1 (January 2009).  Now when you look at things that way you can see his point has merit.

But in her defense, Gaga has worked hard on her career to get where she is today.
