Is Kelly Clarkson Going to Marry Her Boyfriend Brandon Blackstock?

Are there wedding bells in Kelly Clarkson's future? She has been a happy girl for the past few months and it's largely attributed to her blossoming relationship with boyfriend, Brandon Blackstock. Well, that and the fact that her fifth album represented a serious career resurgence and a return to the top of the pop charts.

For a while now, Clarkson has been gushing about Blackstock in the press -- and now that she's super duper serious with her BF, who is Blake Shelton's manager, the singer has revealed that she wants to marry him!

Clarkson, who just dropped her new single 'Catch My Breath,' revealed that she began to think about marriage to Blackstock after realizing they have the same Texas hometown. If that's not fate, well, what else is?

In a chat with Ryan Seacrest (quotes via WENN), the adorable, original 'American Idol' revealed, "We met years ago when I was working with Rascal Flatts, and he used to tour manage with them… I was like, 'Dude, I gotta know that guy.'"

She expanded on how the flirtation started, saying, "We were just in a room together, and then he came up and said he was from the same hometown as me and I was like, 'Oh, we're so getting married.' I was so that girl. When he became single, I was on the prowl."

While it sounds like Clarkson saying she'd marry Blackstock is a lark, she further explained that she hopes to get over the hump that is their respective backgrounds, which includes broken marriages on both sides.

"It’s weird how life kind of puts you in certain situations," she said. "We're taking it slow, and we’re enjoying each other. I'm from a family of broken marriages, but we will definitely break that trend one day."

And there you have it! That sounds like a surefire sign that Clarkson is in lurve with Blackstock on that level.

Another reason Blackstock feels like "the one" for Clarkson? "Once you finally fall in love with someone and you are so comfortable with them, it makes you more comfortable in your skin," she said. "It makes you comfortable as an artist and it makes you more confident… I know that doesn’t sound like the cool, hardcore, 'I’m Miss Independent' girl, but it’s the truth. I’m completely head over heels for him, he knows that."

Aw. We hope that they stay this happy.
