The forecasters predicted it would snow on Christmas Day for parts of East Texas thanks to a passing low pressure system, however, I think it snowed farther south than they initially thought it would giving a lot of East Texans a white Christmas after all.  I have never experienced a white Christmas and this one was special for a lot of us!

The rain and storms gradually changed over to snow and at first it was just small flakes that really didn't amount to anything but a dusting and then all of a sudden the huge wet flakes fell and covered trees, cars and rooftops with a white blanket.  Where I live in south Tyler, there really wasn't enough to build a snowman but that didn't stop the kids (and some of us bigger kids) from having a quick snowball fight!  Areas north of I-20 and along the I-30 corridor received around 4" of the white stuff making for a very memorable white Christmas and my first ever here in East Texas!

If you've got some pictures of the snow or your kids having a snowball fight or building a snowman, post them in the comment section below or share them on the Mix 93-1 Facebook page!
