Things are getting pretty HOT at the the City of Longview, as the Longview Fire Department and the Unity and Diversity Committee gear up for their annual H.O.T. (Heroes of Tomorrow) Fire Camp.

This summer, students in grades 6-12 will be introduced to day-to-day duties and career opportunities at the Longview Fire Department.  The one-day camp includes hands-on training in high-angle rescue, fighting fire, identifying objects under water, locating bodies in a burning building (hazmat), and treating injuries.

This free camp will take place June 10th for grades 6-8 and July 15 for grades 9-12.
