What's this? British pop diva Jessie J without her signature blunt-cut bangs, on the cover of ELLE U.K.'s November issue? Yes, indeed. The singer eschewed her signature Bettie Page fringe in favor of a sleek, polished, bang-free look, which is more mature and matches the gold and black brocade bodysuit by Dolce & Gabbana that she wears on the cover.

The singer reveals that she sacked her stylist so that she could leave her bright, colorful and somewhat cartoonish look behind in favor of something more sophisticated.

"That really scary, spiky, cartoony kind of thing, that was me two or three years ago," she acknowledged. "Now, I'm definitely more embracing of myself as a woman and my sexuality and just being a bit more feminine. I've always wanted to look like this, but it didn't grab people's attention. And in the beginning you've always got to do something that's going to make people go, 'Who's that?'"

Of course her much-discussed sexuality, which also grabbed attention, came up, since she came out as bisexual in the summer 2011 on the cover of Glamour U.K.. "It's one of those things where they labeled me," the 'Price Tag' singer said. "Sexuality shouldn't define anyone. It doesn't define me. Love should be at the core of what you do. I'm only interested in finding love now."

Clearly, her new sleek look isn't the only maturity she's demonstrating. Her attitude has been overhauled, too. We can't help but wonder if she is pulling a Nicki Minaj with this bisexual backtracking.

Jessie is looking forward to marriage and kids, and wants to make sure "that the person who I meet and that I do that with is right for me."

In the behind-the-scenes shoot, she said, "I definitely feel like a woman today," she said, claiming
that being on the cover of ELLE is a dream for her.

Her shoot was drenched in natural tones, focusing on clean skin and nude makeup shades, along with metallics for the couture she wore.

It was definitely a polished look for Jessie J.
