John Mayer will kick off a 4-day tour March 15th in Oklahoma.  These shows will be his first since undergoing throat surgery a couple of months ago.

John had to stop work on his new album and cancel quite a few live performances because he went under the knife to have a growth removed from his vocal cord.  Pretty much the same surgery that Adele had at roughly the same time.  The surgery was a success but was ordered by doctors to rest his voice completely for about a month.

Rest time is coming to an end and John is getting ready to get back in the routine and will be on the road for a few shows.  He'll be in Thackerville, OK performing at the WinStar Casino on March 15th & 16th.  Then John will head down to play South by Southwest in Austin and play at Stubbs Bar-B-Q.  John's career actually got a jump start at SXSW back in 2000.  He'll wrap up this small tour on April 28th with a performance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.

Are you looking forward to new material from John?  What's your favorite John Mayer song?
