Cinco de Mayo may be Monday, but that's not going to stop the party from starting this weekend. Justin Timberlake timed the release of his new tequila with Beam Suntory, Sauza 901, for this week.

"It’s an extension of me,” Justin tells the Wall Street Journal about the tequila, adding, "It’s not taking itself too seriously, first of all, but it’s definitely got a cachet to it as well.”

After visiting a distillery in Jalisca, Mexico, Justin started his own tequila brand, 901, in 2009. This version is a relaunch of the brand with bottles priced at $30.

"I believe in it because I made it,” Justin says, and aside from marketing, he is involved in the process from top to bottom.
