The Girl from Golden had a Golden Hour last night. Yes, I'm full of puns. Totally worthy puns for a hometown girl who took the spotlight at the CMA Awards last night.

Kacey Musgraves' album 'Golden Hour' was recognized last night at the Country Music Association Awards as Album of the Year. Kacey talked to Billboard after the awards show about how it felt to win on the 10th anniversary of her move to Nashville.

When asked what it meant to her to win on the anniversary, she felt like she hadn't really processed it yet. In fact, she called it a 'trippy nod from the Universe.' She talked about her love for Country music and its roots, and also how fun it was to play with other sounds on the record.

She said the songs drove her to Nashville. She learned a lot from the songwriting community in Nashville, and for her it's all about the songs. She went on to say that she feels like the female perspective is a special one, and she feels blessed to have a platform to share it.
