Kanye West Gives Lecture at Harvard, Brings Kim Kardashian Along [VIDEO]
While Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were lampooned on 'SNL' over the weekend on the 'Waking Up With Kimye' skit, the pair made a pit stop at Harvard School of Design while he was in the Boston area for his Yeezus tour.
Yeezy gave students a talking to as part of the school's DONDA Design Lecture Series.
He spoke about the concept of design, which is one of his passions.
According to US Weekly, Yeezy established the link between fashion and architecture. He said, "I just wanted to tell you guys: I really do believe that the world can be saved through design, and everything needs to actually be 'architected.' And this is the reason why even some of the first DONDA employees were architects that started designing t-shirts instead of buildings. But just to see the work actually be actualized."
He spoke of his belief in a utopian society, despite some roadblocks. He said, "We're led by the least noble, the least dignified, the least tasteful, the dumbest, and the most political. So in no way am I a politician – I’m usually at my best politically incorrect and very direct. I really appreciate you guys' willingness to learn and hone your craft, and not be lazy about creation."
Kim posted a snap from the event, showing students ensconced in West's every word.
Kanye even gave all of the students tickets to his show! So sweet.
