Despite reports which surfaced that Kanye West was a little slow in getting a secretive movie project off the ground, it looks like everything is on schedule. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Yeezy was in the Middle East last week shooting a music video with fellow G.O.O.D. Music artist Kid Cudi.

The ‘Watch the Throne’ rapper has been filming in the Middle East nation state of Qatar at an open complex located in Education City near Doha, the country’s capital.

While the entire production is hush-hush, THR was able to get a few tidbits about the project. The long-form video will run for 30-minutes and is produced entirely by West. “Kanye conceived the story, which is set in the Gulf,” said an insider. “It’s supposed to showcase the beauty of the region, a piece that’s culturally sensitive and embraces the customs and traditions of the region.”

Well, there you have it. It’s seems like West has everything under control. There’s no word on when or where this movie will appear. According to reports, the Grammy-winning rapper is set to debut his music video at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Apparently, he is going to rent out a spacious venue and have it shown on seven screens. While that may sound far-fetched, don’t forget it’s Yeezy we are talking about here, so anything is possible.

If and when West does premiere his new project, you can expect that it’s going to be a spectacle.
