How Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Dark Side’ Almost Didn’t Happen [AUDIO/VIDEO]

Kelly Clarkson's latest hit "Dark Side" almost didn't happen because she didn't like the song and thought it was a little to depressing, especially since she was going to have to perform it every night on tour.  Thankfully, though, her manager got through to her.

If Kelly hadn't have recorded the song, she would be nominated to win a MTV VMA on September 6th in the category of Best Video with a Message.  When Kelly was first presented with the lyrics she felt that it was to much of a downer.

Kelly will be performing "Dark Side," along with all of her other hits on Sept. 7 in Houston with The Fray at the Woodlands Pavilion.
