If Simon Cowell had his way, he'd be surrounded by females on his 'X Factor' panel. In addition to returning judge Demi Lovato, another big pop name is close to signing a deal to sit near the cantankerous Cowell: Kelly Rowland!

Entertainment Weekly reports that Rowland is closing in on a deal with the Fox juggernaut. The former Destiny's Child songstress served as a judge on the U.K. version of 'X Factor,' so she's got a good idea of what to expect from a stateside stint on the series.

As for who else would join Rowland, Lovato and Cowell on the panel? Hollywire reports that country singer Faith Hill and Latina pop star Paulina Rubio are said to be in the top ranks for talks, though somewhat inexplicably Hilary Duff and Jennifer Love Hewitt have also been mentioned to be in negotiations.
