Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez Set to Host ‘X-Factor’
Since word broke that Steve Jones would not be returning to host the second season of 'X-Factor', the rumor mill hasn't stopped running. Well after months of speculation it looks as though Simon Cowell and company may have finally found its new host. But it looks like there may be more than one.
Sources have confirmed that reality star and basketball wife Khloe Kardashian, along with 'Extra' and 'America's Best Dance Crew' host Mario Lopez have been locked down as hosts for the second season. The show has already kicked off, but has been host-less. Recently, when talking about the idea of a Kardashian hosting, Simon Cowell told Ellen:
"I know whom I would like, but now I have to get it approved by the network," Cowell saide arlier this month. "We have screen-tested a load of people. ... It could be a Kardashian. I think that would work. I'm quite a fan of not putting experienced hosts on this show. Because I think it's going to give it a different dynamic. So we have to find people who have a great chemistry, but Khloé is definitely up there in the running."
While Khloe has no previous hosting experinece, Mario Lopez is a vet. So while Simon may have preferred a newbie, Mario Lopez must have made a really good impression. Since all of the auditions are pre recorded, we likely wont be introduced to the new hosts until the first live show on November 1st.
