Longview Parks and Recreation will open the Longview Swim Center and Ingram Park tomorrow with a huge party for all those who attend.

Admission will $1 per person with snow cones and chances to win prizes.

Of course, it all depends on the weather. If it rains, activities will be cancelled but pools will be open.

"In the past, Splash Day has just been the first day the pool has opened," Parks and Recreation Manager Seth Pyle told Longview News Journal, "but this year, it's going to be more of an event."

Many other events are planed throughout the summer.

Both Longview Swim Center and Ingram Park will particapate in the world's largest swimming lesson. You can get more details at worldslargestswimminglesson.org.

July 9 and August 6, Longview Swim Center will host learn to swim meets.

Ausgust 13 will be the annual Dog Days of Summer at Longview Swim Center. You can bring your friendly dog, with proof of rabies vaccination, to swim in the pool.

Many more events will be coming. Get all the details from Longview Parks and Recreation.
