Lady Gaga was naked as the day she was born in the first print ad for her debut fragrance Fame, save for the mini men who were crawling all over her body and scaling her curves.

Mother Monster has just released the second print ad from the campaign and she has gone in the total opposite direction. She is coated from top to toe in shiny black latex or PVC material. That’s Gaga for you – going to extremes.

The latex looks like second skin, and since Fame is purported to be the world’s first-ever black perfume, it makes sense for Mother Monster to appear painted in glossy black coating. At least we think that’s her (and not a model). She’s totally obscured by the latex covering, but we’d plunk down money that it’s mirror images of the Mother Monster. There’s no reason for anyone other than her to appear in her fragrance ads.

She’s certainly busting a dominatrix pose, especially with those armadillo-style platform heels. She’s also topped with an other-worldly hat that looks like a device with which she could communicate with Mars. The only skin we see is around her mouth, which is painted in dark lipstick. Overall, the ad indicates that Fame will impart a dark, mysterious and sexy essence.

For our money, Gaga looks like Catwoman in this image. Move over, Anne Hathaway and Michelle Pfeiffer, who’ve both played the character in the Batman movie franchises. Gaga’s presenting herself as a superhero and a Mother Monster.
