Two of the most powerful women in show biz, Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey, are teaming up at Harvard and on leap year, no less. Winfrey will join Gaga and her mother Cynthia Germanotta at the official launch of Mother Monster’s Born This Way Foundation, which takes places on Wednesday, Feb. 29.

According to a press release issued by Gaga’s team, Oprah will appear alongside Gaga as she formally unveils BTWF before a crowd of policy makers, non-profit organizations, foundation leaders, students and youth at the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Askwith Forum. If there is anyone you want on your side at an event such as this, it’s the great philanthropist known as Oprah. She offers immediate legitimacy, given her tireless and well-documented efforts to help others.

Gaga is pulling out other big guns, as spiritual speaker Deepak Chopra will also joint her at the event, which will be co-hosted by the Born This Way Foundation, Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the California Endowment. The launch event is shaping up to be a pretty big deal for Gaga.

Little monsters that are not in attendance will still be able to watch the happenings since the event will be filmed and then featured during an upcoming episode of ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’ on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

More details regarding Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation launch will be announced as the event nears.
