Lady Gaga Releases ‘Applause’ [AUDIO]

It's a battle of the pop stars today as both Katy Perry and Lady Gaga have released new songs with both stars being victims of early leaks.

Katy Perry was originally going to release her latest song "Roar" this morning (August 12th), but was leaked to radio stations over the weekend and Lady Gaga was scheduled to release her latest song "Applause" from her upcoming album next Monday (August 19th).

Gaga went ahead and released her song a week early because of previous leaks of her song that actually featured very poor audio quality, she wanted her Little Monsters to have the real thing, so she and her record company, Interscope Records, released the song around 11:45a our time today.

In an effort to get the news out about the release, Lady Gaga sent out some 'emergency' tweets to her Little Monsters!
