What in the world is going on with the traffic light poles in Tyler, they seem to all of a sudden be a magnet for cars! This past Sunday one of the traffic light poles at Loop 323 and Broadway was replaced due to someone clipping it in a recent accident and while it was being replaced, part of one of the busiest intersections in all of East Texas was shut down while the pole and lights were being replaced!

Now the same thing is happening again with another Tyler intersection! Eastbound traffic lanes will be intermittently closed on Old Henderson Hwy. at Loop 323 tomorrow (Tuesday, June 14th). The work is expected to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. while crews drill for a new foundation for a light pole to replace the current one which was damaged in an auto accident. Drivers around this area are asked to use caution or avoid the area all together tomorrow as crews try to complete the job quickly.
