Tyler Man Sentenced to Life in Prison on Sexual Assault of Child Convictions

A Tyler man convicted of multiple charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child has been sentenced to life in prison.

Thomas Harold Brookbank, 22, was convicted Wednesday following a guilty plea. An investigation by Tyler Police revealed Brookbank sexually assaulted at least five children on numerous occasions at a so-called clubhouse located in a wooded area at a mobile home park on Shiloh Road.

Because one of the victims was under the age of 6, there is no chance for parole according to the Smith County District Attorney’s office.
