From jail to Playboy to…Elizabeth Taylor? That seems to be Lindsay Lohan’s most recent career trajectory, as the actress is currently in talks to play the late screen legend in a TV movie.

The project has been in development at Lifetime since last May and will be helmed by independent producer Larry Thompson. It would be Lohan’s first sizable acting role since she became more known for frequent visits to the Los Angeles County Courthouse than for her on-screen work.

Taylor, the violet-eyed brunette beauty who died last year, had a rather tortured personal life herself that included eight marriages and enough personal scandal to make her a permanent fixture in the tabloids throughout much of her life.

LiLo’s affection for gorgeous film icons is well-known. She named her line of leggings 6126 after Marilyn Monroe’s birthdate, and she recently channeled the legendary blonde in a nude pictorial for Playboy — a session for which she was reportedly paid upwards of $1 million.
