Day 1 of Lollapalooza was shut down early on Thursday (August 3) when stormy weather rolled into Chicago. Among the sets that were shuttered was Lorde's; the pop star was supposed to headline the Grant Park festival, which was evacuated shortly into her performance slot.

On Twitter, the singer shared that she was "gutted" over the cancellation and would look into playing a club show in the area to make up for the lost performance.

"This is the most MELODRAMA s--- ever," she joked, adding sadly, "They've told us we can't play. I had the most spectacular show planned for you and I PROMISE I will come back to play it as soon as I can."

Muse, Lil Uzi Vert and Porter Robinson were also meant to perform Thursday night, but their sets were cut short early as well.
