Madonna’s Interscope Deal Worth $40 Million, Album Drops in March 2012
The album, still untitled, will be preceded by the single ‘Gimme All Your Luvin” in the last week of January, just before Madge’s Super Bowl XLVI halftime performance on Feb. 5. The song, which is expected to feature Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., was leaked online in demo form last month and received a cool reception from many critics, though fans seemed to enjoy it.
The Interscope contract is now tied in with Madonna’s $100 million deal with Live Nation, signed in 2007, which covers the singer’s albums, concerts, merchandise, fan club and sponsorships. Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman Jimmy Iovine said this week after signing Madonna, “Very rarely does an opportunity like this come around. We would like to thank Madonna, Guy [Oseary] and Live Nation for their belief in us.”
