Beyonce paid tribute to slain teen Trayvon Martin onstage in Nashville, Tenn. The moving gesture brought the audience to tears.

In light of the "not guilty" verdict in the hot button George Zimmerman trial, which was announced merely 30 minutes before Beyonce hit the stage, she told the crowd, "I'd like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon." She followed the quiet reflection and mourning with a medley mixing 'I Will Always Love You' with 'Halo.'

Beyonce has performed the medley before, but this time it came with a more somber, sad and harrowing message.

Bey also paid tribute to Pakistani teen Malala Yousafzai, who was shot by the Taliban for going to school and encouraging education in October 2012, on her birthday:

Regardless of your stance on the hot button Zimmerman case, or your politics elsewhere, it's fair to say that all should hail the Queen Bey.
