After 58-year old Star Trek fanatic Tony Alleyne got divorced, he proceeded to live every Trekkie’s fantasy and transform what had become his bachelor pad into the interior of the Starship Enterprise.

For the last ten years, Alleyne has given his apartment in Leicestershire, England touches such as a full-scale replica of the Enterprise’s console (complete with flashing lights) and the “beam me up” transporters that Scotty famously manned. Since he was able to do all the work himself, he believes it has cost him about roughly $6,500 to do the unique renovation, but claims it would’ve been hundreds of thousands of dollars to get laborers to do what he accomplished solo.

Sadly, for Alleyne, he didn’t actually own the apartment. And his ex-wife, who does, recently decided that she wanted to sell it, and that to appeal to more potential buyers all the ‘Star Trek’ fun had to go.

To say I’m gutted is an understatement. It is my life’s work — and it looks like it’s going into a skip. I admit there were tears,’ Alleyne explained

Ah, come on, former-Mrs.-Tony-Alleyne. There’s got to be some (single) bloke in England who’d pay big bucks to live in the frickin’ Starship Enterprise. Take a look at more photos of this out-of-this-world flat below.
