More than 3.4 million vehicles are being recalled worldwide for defective airbags. These include Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and Mazda models.

Five incidents have been reported of airbags inflating improperly from airbags supplied by Takata Corp. based in Japan. No injuries have been reported due to these airbag malfunctions.

Some of the affected models include the Honda Civic and CR-V's, Nissan Maximas, Toyota Tundra, Lexus SC, Mazda 6 and RX-8, plus Toyota Corolla models made from November 2000 to March 2004.
