Medication Cleanout Event is This Saturday

The Tyler Police Department and Drug Enforcement Agency will team up with Brookshire's on Rice Road this Saturday, 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., to help you safely dispose of medications.

You can drive up and drop off any unused or expired prescription or over the counter medication.

This is in conjunction with an effort to reduce the abuse of prescription medications and reduce the possibility of accidental use by children.

Other medicines accepted include veterinary medicine, vitamins, minerals and medication samples.

No medical equipment will be accepted, though.
