Meet Dexter, a 2-year-old spaniel/blue heeler mix that is available for adoption at the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People in Tyler.

Dexter has been at the Humane Society’s Fur People sanctuary for a very long time and desperately needs someone to love him. That’s all he wants and that’s not too much to ask. Dexter’s adoption fee has been reduced from $150 to $65 in hopes he will find his "furever" home.

He has been neutered and is current on starting vaccinations, including rabies. Dexter sits on command and walks nicely on a leash. He is an active boy and would be best suited in a household with older children. Dexter has been microchipped for identification purposes and when he is adopted Dexter will receive a gift of 30 days of free pet health insurance.

For additional information on adopting Dexter call 903-597-2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website at petsfurpeople.org. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. They are closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m.

The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is a selective admission, no-kill animal sanctuary.

They offer dog boarding and routine vaccinations except for rabies to the public for dogs and cats. Follow them on Facebook and tTwitter. Please be a responsible pet owner and spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated.
