Meet Keira Foy, A 2016 Kidd’s Kid

Ten year old Keira Foy of Shreveport is among one of the special kids selected to go on the Kidd's Kids trip to Walt Disney World this weekend in Orlando thanks to your support of Kidd's Kids! Keira is a ten year old that has cerebellar hypoplasia. That cute little smile of hers was on full display in the hanger at the Kidd's Kids send off party yesterday afternoon! She couldn't wait to get on the Kidd's Kids Southwest Airlines plane. She was so anxious and wanted to get through the receiving line quickly so that the plane could take off. Before telling her to have a good time this weekend she gave me a huge high five and said Thank you. I know that thank you wasn't all directed toward me because all I did was encourage you, the listener to make that donation on Kidd's Kids Day to Kidd's Kids. That thank you was for you! Thank you!

Keira isn't going on the trip alone, her older sister Micayla will be going along as will her mom and dad Patsy and Paul. The family had to answer some questions about the trip from the Kidd's Kids Foundation and here's what they had to say:

For each member of your party (particularly each child), please list their favorite animated Disney character or characters. Are there any special reasons why?
Keira – Elsa & Anna because she reminds her of her sisters. Belle – because she’s nice & loving, she doesn’t care what someone looks like or acts like, and she loves them for who they are.
Micayla–Anna (Frozen) because she identifies with her. Patsy – the Fairy Godmother – with a wave of her wand, she can do anything!
Paul –Stitch.

Which Walt Disney World attractions are members of your party most looking forward to riding?
Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, African Trek, any type of animal encounters, Frozen Ever After, The Boneyard, DINOSAUR, DinolandUSA, and Soarin’

Which Walt Disney World Stage shows are members of your party most looking forward to seeing?
THE PARADES……..Indiana Jones, Jedi Training, Cinderella’s Castle, and Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical

Do you, your Kidd’s Kid or any other members of your party have a favorite member of the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show team? If so, why?
They are all great. Together they make a great morning show. But if I had to choose 1, I’d have to say Big Al or Kellie. But that is a really hard decision.

What do you think the most exciting part of the Kidd’s Kids Trip is going to be and why?
The chance to spend quality time together as a family. The look of excitement & wonder on all the kid’s faces & the happiness in their voices.

What are your Kidd’s Kid’s special interests (for example: science, art, theatre, music)? Does he/she have any special goals?
Keira absolutely loves science –especially zoology & paleontology. She wants to be a vet when she grows up. She has a slight obsession with animals & dinosaurs. She loves to take pictures & listen to music.

As a parent, what are some of the things that you are looking forward to seeing your child do while on the Kidd’s Kids trip, and why?
We are so excited to see her reaction when she sees Disney World & meets characters. We would love to see her be carefree & not worry so much.

If your Kidd’s Kid will be on the trip with his/her sibling(s), what are the siblings looking forward to the most? What special things could happen for them?
Micayla wants to be a chef & own her own food truck. She loves to experience new foods & places to eat. I think she’s watched just about every cooking show there is on Netflix. But she keeps reminding me that we have to go to Gaston’s Tavern so she can try their “famous” cinnamon rolls & to Disney Springs so she can check out all of the food trucks & get ideas. I’m not really sure if it’s even possible,but if she could get a facial &/or mani–that would be a really nice surprise for her. We don’t get to surprise her very often or pamper her.

Are there any attractions/shows that you (as a parent) want to make sure you see?
Indiana Jones Stunt show, the animal safari, Space Mountain, Epcot ball
