Meet Kidd’s Kids’ Taylor Emmert
Taylor Emmert is a sweet 10-year-old who goes to Kissam Elementary in Chapel Hill. She was selected as one of this year's Kidd's Kids trip kids!
Taylor, who has cerebral palsy, will go on the trip with her mom Shonda and big sister Jenna. Before leaving for the trip, Taylor was quizzed on several things, including:
Who is your favorite Disney character and why?
Mickey Mouse! She said loves watching the cartoon on the Disney Channel and he is funny.
What is your favorite park in Walt Disney World and why do you like it?
Disney Animal Kingdom. She said she loves animals and enjoys seeing them.
What roller coaster in Walt Disney World are you looking forward to riding and why?
Primeval Whirl, it's in the Animal Kingdom and looks like fun.
If you could take anyone from Kidd Kraddick In The Morning Show on any ride at Walt Disney World, which ride and show cast member would you choose?
Expedition Everest, Taylor said she would like Big Al Mack, because he would be scared and scream. He would take her mind off of being scared at laugh at him.
What show(s) are you looking forward to seeing?
Lights, Motors, Action! and Festival of the Lion King.
Why is the Kidd's Kids Trip to Walt Disney World so important to your family?
Taylor's mom: Taylor isn't able to do the things that other children are able to do, but going on this trip she will feel like any other child. No one will stare at her because she is different form the other kids. These few days will take her away from her daily life and give her an experience to remember.
What are you most looking forward to doing while you are in Walt Disney World and why?
Taylor's Mom: Bibbidi Bobidi Boutique -- She just wants to be treated like a princess.
What does Taylor want to be when she grows up and why?
Veterinarian, she wants to work with animals.
If you had the chance to do anything you wanted at Walt Disney World -- no matter who crazy or the cost -- what would you want to do?
Taylor wants to see the Animal Safari, feed the animals -- anything like that. She loves animals and would like to get as close to them as possible. She would also like to be on a float during a parade at Walt Disney World.
If you could bring anything back from Walt Disney World -- what would it be and why?
Taylors mom: We would love a video of her experience, I know watching her having fun will be a memory I will have with me.
What do you think the most exciting part of the Kidd's Kids Trip is going to be and why?
Getting to Walt Disney World and actually walking through the gates and seeing the different characters.
Who is your favorite Disney character?
Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Debbie Ryan
As a parent, what are some of the things that you are looking forward to seeing your child do on the Kidd's Kids Trip and why?
Taylor's mom: I cant wait for her to see the Animal Kingdom. She wants to feed the animals and touch them. She gets so excited when she's around animals. She loves fireworks, too. She can't wait to see those.
If you were in charge of planning the Kidd's Kids Trip, what is something that you would have all of the families do while in Walt Disney World?
I think watching an exciting show or going on an African Safari.
What else would you like for us to know about you and your family as it relates to Disney World and the Kidd's Kids Trip?
We are excited to go that's for sure. She can't wait to fly and get to Walt Disney World!
