Michael Strahan Named Co-Host of ‘Live’ With Kelly Ripa

It was one of the worst kept secrets in television, this morning Kelly Ripa announced who her new co-host would be and as expected, it was Michael Strahan!  The show has been searching for a replacement for Regis Philbin since his departure from the show in November of last year and Michael is the new man on set.  The show has also been renamed with Kelly getting top billing!  The show changes from Live! With Kelly to Live! With Kelly & Michael.

Michael has appeared as a guest host on the show more than 20 times, his first appearance was in 2008 when he and the New York Giants won the Super Bowl.  Michael said this morning, "I'm speechless.  I'm so happy to be here and to be a part of this."
