Mix 93-1 and Half Price Books are proud to recognize outstanding teachers from our East Texas classrooms!

This week's recipient is Lindsey Schminkey, a 4th grade teacher at Kissam Elementary in the Chapel Hill ISD.

Ms. Schminkey was nominated by a parent who had this to say about Ms. Schminkey,

My son has called her his best friend. He is a student who requires additional help with his school work as well as his social skills. Mrs Schminkey has contributed to his success since 2nd grade by listening to him & making him laugh every day. The fact that she is there for him, even now, when he isn't in her class makes her deserving of this award.
