Mix 93-1 Teacher Of The Week February 19th

Mix 93-1 along with Half Price Books and Aspen Creek Grill are proud to recognize outstanding teachers from our East Texas classrooms!

This week's recipient is Tina Lawson, the high school life skills instructor at Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill.

Ms. Lawson was nominated by a student who had this to say about her:

Tina is a dedicated, smart, amazing teacher who looks at each student's individual potential and guides them to be the best they can be. She loves them with a true heart. She is often overlooked as a Life Skills teacher, since her class is small and contains students who often spend 4-7 years with her rather than passing through her class by the hundreds. She analyzes each student's needs and sets goals for then that are attainable and challenging. She works with the East Texas Food Bank and others to provide learning and employment opportunities for even the least performing students."
