Friday night I had the opportunity to see Elle King at the Verizon Theater opening up for Vance Joy, and I was not disappointed. She's not only a musician, but a natural comedian.

She belted out her own original music, her all-time favorite song and she shared awesome anecdotal moments about her life and her song-writing. She also told the crowd that she had her first bra thrown on stage to her recently. This of course prompted more bras to be thrown on stage Friday night.

She also took time to share that everyone is beautiful, and encouraged everyone to be themselves.

"Now I have a microphone and that's really cool, so you have no choice but to listen to me. You can try and talk, but I'm louder than you, So! I realized when I started seeing young people at my show that I had, power. [Laughter] I'm serious though, it's beautiful thank you for this bra, I really needed it, but I realized that I could say something, and most people at my shows get real drunk and they don't hear me, but if one person hears me that's beautiful. And I have something to tell you guys, no matter hwat color, shape, size where you come from, you're beautiful. [Cheers] You are so beautiful. Find what makes you individual and hold on to that, and if it's scary that's amazing. And if not... [she flips off the crowd.]"
