Nelly Furtado has teamed up with Nas to offer fans another new song called ‘Something,’ which is featured on Canadian singer’s forthcoming album, ‘The Spirit Indestructible.’

The chill track features production by Salaam Remi, and is seductive enough on its own, but Nas’ slick verse takes it up yet another notch. As for Furtado’s contribution, she tells Idolator that she let her voice “chill out” on the song, while offering eclectic vocal twists.

The song follows the release of ‘Big Hoops (The Bigger the Better),’ the first single from ‘The Spirit Indestructible,’ which is set to arrive on Sept 18. The LP is the highly anticipated follow-up to the pop star’s 2009′s Spanish-language album ‘Mi Plan,’ and includes collaborations with Rodney Jerkins, Bob Rock, Tiesto, John Shanks and Da Genius.

“I began writing these songs around the time I released my Spanish album ‘Mi Plan,’” Furtado said about ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ in a press release. “I was in a great head space, feeling refreshed and ready to really deliver in English again. This album is all about positivity, youth, good energy, and the relentlessness of the spirit. I want people to live this music the way we did when we wrote it.
I want them to jump, dance, scream, laugh, cry, love, and vibe to it, and to turn it up very loud everywhere.”
