Joe Jonas pretty much threw his ex Demi Lovato under the bus in his revealing New Yorker essay about his time in the Jonas Brothers. (For those unaware, he said she and Miley Cyrus convinced him to smoke weed, despite them being 14 or 15 and him being 17 or 18 at the time, and that he only dated Lovato in order to "save" her from her issues.) And now Lovato is speaking out about it.

Forever candid, the 21-year-old 'X Factor' judge chuckled, "My first reaction was, 'Well that was stupid.' But we are always going to be in each other's lives," she said. "I was with Nick [Jonas] today and they are family. I've known them since I was 14, 15 and I have a lot of love for them."

She did admit to OMG! that Jonas' speaking up took courage. "He never shared his side of the story and what he had to go through when we were friends or whatever," she said. "I was like, 'Choose your words more carefully next time, but whatever, you're fine!'" Note she said "when we were friends." Are they on the outs completely? Maybe! (And would you blame the poor girl?)

Lovato revealed she's also working on a memoir, which may well be her next New York Times bestseller. "I just have so much to say," she confessed. "I have so much built up that, like they said in 'Mean Girls,' it's word vomit. Things come out. It's uncontrollable. Luckily that's why I will have different edits," she laughed, "So Joe better beware!"

Hear that, Jonas? You've been warned!
