Nick Cannon honored his devoted wife, Mariah Carey, at the BET Honors on Saturday night (Jan. 14). It was Cannon’s his first appearance since being hospitalized for kidney failure — and he even brought “dem babies” along for the ride.

Us Weekly reports that Cannon toted their son, Moroccan Scott, onstage to present Carey with her entertainer honor. Two questions: How adorable is his little suit? And where was Moroccan’s twin, Monroe? Backstage! ”She’s a diva like her mama,” Cannon explained, while  Carey deadpanned, “We were both sewn into our dresses, so she couldn’t make it out.” Too cute!

In addition to the ceremony honoring Carey for her musical gifts, Cannon honored Carey for taking care of him during his kidney failure and subsequent hospitalization. Cannon dubbed Carey a “hero,” waxing poetic on how she made him soup at 3AM when he was ill. That’s when you know Mimi’s smitten — the diva once had a “staircase assistant,” so if she dotes on her man hand and foot, he better honor her!

Cannon knows just how lucky he is. ”What most people don’t get to experience is the human,” he told the audience.”To know you guys are honoring her tonight, I have to continue to honor her every day.”
