Nick Cannon, host of ‘America’s Got Talent’ and husband of Mariah Carey as well as father of ‘Dem Babies,’ is recovering after suffering from mild kidney failure. The couple had been in Aspen, Colo. over the holidays and that’s when Cannon became ill. He is currently in a Colorado facility.

Carey shared a super sweet photo of herself cuddling in a hospital bed with Cannon, 31 on Twitter: “Please pray for Nick as he’s fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman.”

She also released a statement about the medical matter on her official website, writing:

“This is us in the hospital – role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.

We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am on de bed with Mr. C.

We’re doing OK but we’re “straaaaaanded in Aspen”. #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK. I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.

The picture shows Carey, in her flannel jammies with her hair pulled back into a loose, messy ponytail, looking lovingly at her man while holding a beverage to his lips to help him hydrate. The normally animated and energetic Cannon looks weak and tired, with a ski cap on his head. Poor guy. He’s lucky to have such a loving wife who is crawling into bed with him while he recovers.

Best of luck to Nick Cannon as he navigates this illness. It has not yet been revealed how or why he went into kidney failure.
