Get psyched, No Doubt fans! With their new album set to be released later this year, the band will be making a highly anticipated performance at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.

“You may have heard the rumors… and yes, we will be performing on the Teen Choice Awards in July!!!” No Doubt tweeted on their official Twitter page. The two-hour special will air live on Sunday, July 22, beginning at 8PM ET on FOX.

No Doubt’s last tour took place in 2009 and their last studio album, ‘Rock Steady,’ was released in 2001. Earlier this month, the rockers posted a video announcement on their YouTube page, informing fans of their as-yet-untitled album, which is set for a Sept. 25 release. They more recently shared a snippet from a new track called ‘Push and Shove.’ Maybe they’ll debut that track on the award show stage?

The first single from the record is expected to arrive in July, so the Teen Choice Awards appearance will be perfectly timed. So far, No Doubt is the first announced performer for the annual event, but the rest of its all-star lineup is expected to be revealed soon.

‘The Vampire Diaries’ leads this year’s nominees with six nods, while ‘American Idol‘ brings in five nominations. Justin Bieber and Katy Perry dominated the music polls, earning five and four nominations, respectively. The event celebrates the best in television, music, film, sports, fashion, comedy and the web, and winners are determined by fan voting. Polls are now open at Teenchoiceawards.com.
