No damage has been reported after two minor earthquakes hit North Texas.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports a 2.4 magnitude quake struck early Sunday about four miles north of Waxahachie. The second occurred more than two hours later at 6:56 a.m. near DeSoto. That was measured at a magnitude of 2.5.

A quake of magnitude 2.5 to 3 is typically the smallest that can be felt by people.

In East Texas, a total of nine minor earthquakes have struck the region since May 2010, three of those recorded in January of 2013.
