Halloween is right around the corner, and Liberty Hall in Downtown Tyler is bringing your favorite gory classics to the big screen Thursdays in October.

This selection of films includes some of the most gory scenes in the classic horror genre. Some of these trailers may not be safe for work. Watch at your own risk. Doors open at 6 p.m. and movies start at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online at LibertyTyler.com or at the door for $7.

Army of Darkness

This film is a sequel to the Evil Dead series that transports a discount-store employee back to medieval times to battle zombies. In order to return home the hero must retrieve the Necronomicon. Don't miss this one Thursday, Oct. 8.

Dawn of the Dead

This film has become a cult classic. Following an ever-growing epidemic of zombies that have risen from the dead, two Philadelphia S.W.A.T. team members, a traffic reporter and his television executive girlfriend seek refuge in a secluded shopping mall. Catch this classic on Thursday, Oct. 15.

The Houses October Built

Five friends set off on a road trip in an RV to track down these underground haunts. Just as they reach a dead end, strange and disturbing things start happening and it becomes clear that the haunt has come to them. This film is actually set in East Texas, so beware it adds to the scare! See this film on Thursday, Oct. 22.

Halloween (1978)

 

This is an absolute horror classic. Halloween has inspired so many other horror films and shows that it's impossible to name them all. If you're a fan of the Scream series, this is where a lot of the inspiration comes from. If you've never seen this classic, Liberty Hall offers you the opportunity on Thursday, Oct. 29.
