The weather has taken a chilly turn, but Palestine plans to warm up your insides with the Hot Pepper Festival on Saturday.

Texas is GREAT at combining food, live music, friends, and family, and making it into one big festival. The pepper gets the spotlight tomorrow.

The festival runs from 10:00 am to 11:00 p.m. in the Historic Downtown District and it's happening for the first time in over five years.

Admission to the festival is free, but there is a fee to sample what's produced at the BBQ and chili cookoff. Proceeds go back to the city of Palestine. While your mouth is on fire, you'll be able to enjoy three stages of live music while you knock down the beverages and cool it off.

There's more about the Hot Pepper Festival on Facebook.

Have a great weekend!
