Phillip Phillips Joins Matchbox Twenty Tour That Includes Stop in Longview

While on American Idol last season, Phillip Phillips sang the Matchbox Twenty song "Disease" and Rob Thomas and the guys seemed to be very impressed with him and what he's accomplished since winning American Idol last spring that they've asked him to join the band on the road for their North tour.

The announcement was made by Matchbox Twenty on their Twitter page:

The tour kicks off January 29th in Tulsa and will be here in East Texas a few days later! Phillip Phillips will be opening up for Matchbox Twenty at their show Saturday, February 2nd at the Belcher Center on the LeTourneau University campus in Longview. Tickets are still available for this show that is presented by Mix 93-1.
