Phillip Phillips to Give Up Major Musical Award

Phillip Phillips has decided to give up an award he was presented with after his win on American Idol this spring.

Phillips debut single "Home" is a certified gold record, meaning it has sold half a million copies.  Phillip has decided to give away his gold plaque that was awarded to him from his record company.  But why would he do this? He's doing it because he recently added his 500,000th follower on Twitter!

You can enter to win this plaque because he has to make room in his tour bus for his newest plaque commemorating his millionth download of "Home" making it a platinum record!

This achievement received a big push from NBC. During the Olympic games, NBC used the song extensively throughout the games featuring the U.S. women's gymnastics team.
