It has become a yearly tradition in East Texas. The Salvation Army in Tyler has once again teamed up with Chic-Fil-A for their annual Soup Drive.

Here is the official press release from the Salvation Army.

There’s a chill in the air and that means it’s time once again for the annual Chick-fil-A Soup Drive! The Tyler community will once again have the opportunity to keep the bowls of those in need filled with warm and tasty Chick-fil-A soup—simply by purchasing a Chick-fil-A soup for themselves. This year’s drive will begin January 15 and is set to end on January 31.

With every bowl of soup purchased at the Chick-Fil-A locations listed below, two bowls of delicious Chick-Fil-A soup will be donated to The Salvation Army. Over the years, Chick-Fil-A and the community have filled over 40,000 bowls of soup for those in need.

This year, Chick-Fil-A has set a goal to sell 7,000 bowls of soup, in turn providing 14,000 to those in need. However, Chick-fil-A and The Salvation Army need the community's participation in order to make this year’s soup drive a success. The Tyler community continues to be a tremendous blessing, meeting the needs of those in our own community through donations, volunteerism, goods and services, and, every winter through the charity of Chick-fil-A’s Soup Drive.

Chick-Fil-A graciously gives The Salvation Army enough bowls of soup to feed thousands of Tyler residents each year who may otherwise be unable to receive the food and nutrition they need. However, Chick-fil-A and The Salvation Army need the community's participation in order to make this year’s soup drive as successful as in the past. The Tyler community continues to be a tremendous blessing, meeting the needs of those in our own community through donations, volunteerism, goods and services, and, every winter through the charity of Chick-fil-A’s Soup Drive.

The two participating locations are:

  • Highlands Village Shopping Center on Troup Highway
  • Broadway Crossing Shopping Center on South Broadway in front of Best Buy and Lowe's

Grab some soup for lunch during the two weeks and help do the most good.
