Texas Parks Wants You to Pledge to Bring Someone Out on Hunting and Fishing Day

Y'all, National Hunting and Fishing Day is coming up on Saturday, September 23, 2017. What does that mean to you as a hunter and angler? It means it's THE day to take someone hunting or fishing - the day where you share your love for the outdoors - the day where you help Texas Parks and Wildlife Department continue its storied tradition of leadership in fish and wildlife conservation.

You can actually take a pledge to take someone out on National Hunting and Fishing Day and win prizes thanks to outdoor sponsors like Bass Pro, Cabela's, Yamaha. NRA, and many more. All you have to do is go here and make the pledge.

This marks the 45th year of NHFD, and as quoted by Texas Parks and Wildlife:

This annual celebration of hunting and fishing is the perfect opportunity to introduce someone to hunting, fishing or target shooting. New hunters and anglers will continue the legacy and help ensure hunting and fishing keeps going strong.

It's all about preserving Texas' outdoor heritage. If we want to ensure its future, we need to make sure those that take care of it when we're gone know what they're doing.
