Janelle Monae, Sheila E., The Roots and D’Angelo will appear in a tribute performance honoring the late Prince during the 2016 BET Awards, set to air later this month.

There’s been no shortage of Prince tributes since the legend’s untimely death on April 21. Celebrities have honored the "When Doves Cry" singer with covers at their own shows, and the tributes have spread all the way to Broadway, where the casts of Hamilton and The Color Purple performed “Let’s Go Crazy” and “Purple Rain” respectively.

Madonna also paid tribute to Prince during the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, where she performed “Nothing Compares 2 U’ before bringing out Stevie Wonder for a rendition of “Purple Rain.”

That performance was met with several unfavorable reviews, however, including a shady tweet from the BET Awards' official account that said, “Yeah we saw that. Don’t worry. We Got You,” sent out moments after Madonna’s tribute aired. The tweet has since been deleted.

Madonna later hit back at her critics online, writing in a caption on Instagram, “Anyone who wants to do a tribute to Prince is welcome to. Whatever your age Gender or skin Color. If you loved him and he inspired you then show it!!!! I love Prince 4 ever."

Be sure to check out the network’s Prince tribute by tuning in to the 2016 BET Awards when they air on Sunday, June 26, at 8PM EST.
