The 2nd game of the ALCS was postponed Sunday due to rain. The Texas Rangers won game 1 of the series on Saturday night over the Detroit Tigers by a score of 3-2, a game that saw two different rain delays. One delay was 41 minutes and the other was 1:09. With more rain forecast for Sunday night, officials felt it best to reschedule the game for Monday. This means the teams travel day will be interrupted and they will play 4 straight games without a break. More after the jump.

The Associated Press released a quote from Rangers President, Nolan Ryan:

We felt with the forecast that we had that we didn't want to experience what we did last night. ... With the forecast for this evening, it appears that it's going to be a duplication of what we saw. The one thing we're concerned about is the integrity of the game and not put either team in a situation where there is a possibility the elements could affect the outcome of the game.

Game 2 of the series is now scheduled for a 3:19pm first pitch on Monday at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
