Chef Robert Irvine, host of Food Network's "Restaurant Impossible", and his TV crew invaded downtown Kilgore on Monday to give a facelift and revitalize the downtown eatery known as Nanny Goats Cafe.

On the show, Chef Irvine is tasked with turning around restaurants that are in trouble or failing and is only given $10,000 and a limited crew to pull it all off. He's in charge of retraining the waitstaff, kitchen staff, has to make adjustments to the menu and has help from a designer and carpenter to give the restaurant a new look on the inside and out. Shooting for the show began Monday and wrapped up Wednesday. While that was going on, Robert was tweetingthe following about the transformation.

As a fan of the show, I'm curious about the tweet referring to drama in Kilgore! I'm wondering what it is, but I'm sure it was worked out and we'll have to find out what it's all about when the show airs on the Food Network. So far no air date has been given.

While the transformation was happening at Nanny Goats Cafe, some downtown business owners were a little inconvenienced with the tents and production crew all around but others welcomed them with a big Texas HOWDY!

So if you're looking for something new to try this weekend, head to Nanny Goats Cafe in downtown Kilgore and see what Chef Irvine and the "Restaurant Impossible" crew did!
