Separate Traffic Accidents Leave Two East Texans Dead

Two Separate traffic accidents Thursday night near Lindale have claimed the lives of two East Texas Men.

DPS reports a car driven by 65 –year- old Lonnie Williams lost control and struck a tree about two miles north of Lindale on Highway 69. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

An Earlier accident claimed the life of a Van Resident.

DPS says 36-year-old Cameron Geis died of his injuries after he crashed his vehicle into a fence and trees off FM 16, 2.5 miles west of Lindale.

Lindale Police had been pursuing the vehicle shortly before the crash, but called off the chase after losing sight of Geis’ vehicle.

                                                      Arrest Made in Tyler Homicide

A Tyler man wanted for the shooting death and aggravated assault earlier this week at a Tyler Club has turned himself him.

32- year-old Marquel Jermon Scott is jailed in connection with the shooting death of 26 –year-old Keeston Dwone Fields of Tyler and critically wounding 33 year old John T Woods. The shooting occurred at the Hyena Clubhouse at 2126 North Grand in Tyler.
