Komen Tyler Executive Director, Jennifer Watkins, stopped by the radio station yesterday and asked us to help get the word out about some other events surrounding Race for the Cure.

The National Weather Service says the threat for large hail and tornadoes is now less than it looked yesterday, but is still not gone completely. It appears now the greatest threat is going to be from winds in excess of 70 mph.

The northern half of East Texas is under a slight risk of severe weather today. Isolated thunderstorms with the possibility of very large hail could develop later this afternoon.

Update - 3:35pm
All alerts lifted - there is no longer an active threat . Authorities again confirmed two deaths from the shooting - one of them a Virginia Tech Police Officer. A weapon was recovered near the scene of the second victim. Suspect is still at large.

Youtube Lindale Band Does LMFAO’s ‘Party Rock Anthem’ [VIDEO]
Check out this video of the Lindale High School Band performing a half-time routine to LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem." The band was blowing off some steam after months of hard work and celebrating the 36th consecutive 1st Division Rating at the U.I.L. Marching contest on the weekend of October 16th. They also won first place and superior performance awards at the National Association of Military Marching Bands contest on November 5th! See the video after the jump!

The 2nd game of the ALCS was postponed Sunday due to rain. The Texas Rangers won game 1 of the series on Saturday night over the Detroit Tigers by a score of 3-2, a game that saw two different rain delays. One delay was 41 minutes and the other was 1:09. With more rain forecast for Sunday night, officials felt it best to reschedule the game for Monday. This means the teams travel day will be interrupted and they will play 4 straight games without a break. More after the jump.
